5th Session - Back at OSC

GENERAL Updates on Sponsors and Prospective Schools were discussed Logistics for Faculty Adviser and Student Coordinator Meeting on the 19th of November was also discussed. Chairs Chairs assigned to prepare introduction to their committee for the Faculty Adviser meeting. Non- Chairs Updates on things like Placards, Website and Mobile site. Slideshow of all Exco Members for Faculty Adviser meeting was designed.

Chair Training #3

This week for chair training (once again at the cozy Coffee Bean) we organized a Committee Debate on the World Health Assembly From 3:30-5:15 we had speakers list speeches and mod caucuses. Feedback was given to delegates and chairs at 5.15-5.30 The meeting was concluded with the discussion of study guides for all committees

4th Session - On 320 again

General 1) Best School Award is officially scrapped 2) Best Novice Award - Criteria for this award was discussed. Pictures for the website were also taken, with some being taken next week as well. CHAIRS Unfortunately Ishini of GA1 was forced to drop out due to time issues, and in her stead we appointed Danidhu Vithanawasam.  We also decided what we would do for the final day of conference:  GAs- crisis Spec comms; - normal comm debates with a possible inter comm after lunch  Study Guides final draft due by the 29th of October, and will be released soon after. 19th November - A few comm specific slides will be create for the fac advisor/ student coordinators meeting NON - Chairs  Shalini was also unfortunately forced to resign as Head of PR, with her Deputy taking over as Head. 3rd Session on 320

General This week we took a welcome leave from our OSC home and brought the exco into a literal home - our secretary generals Sanoj's house on On320. Unfortunately, the Head of Photography forgot his camera and therefore this post will lack any exciting pictures of the elusive exco group and will make you question whether or not this meeting actually happened. At the meeting, we were all asked to share three potential sponsorships, so as to make sure we don't end up sending 5 people to Munchee Biscuits. Chairs We debated about some of the lingering issues regarding topics, each committee decided on simple statements describing their respective committees, and we finalized the topics for the practice debates and the conference. Additionally, the first draft (the mandates) of all the study guides were all due today. Which were all definitely completed in a timely fashion. General Allocation of people to reach out to schools in Colombo and communicate about either joining COMUN or simply getting details on faculty advisers and other details about their delegation. CHAIRS Re - Allocation of chairs:  GA1 -Radika & Ishini GA3 - Tehara & Ranali  GA4 - Thisal & Ashmitha ECOSOC - Mithsuka & Dilain FCS - Savant & Amanda  WHA - Sanjana & Zainab Discussed topic ideas, eliminated some off google doc list, started to create study guides for each comm. Each comm also must have a list of topics that can be finalized by the chair-meeting on Friday. Non-CHAIRS Discussed  the changes we were to implement this year such as: Cutting Maggie breaks this year. Potential provision of free water bottles. Other tasks addressed: Writing the letter addressed to local schools about COMUN and joining this years conference, for everyone to use. Sponsorship proposal form editing.
