4th Session - On 320 again

General

1) Best School Award is officially scrapped

2) Best Novice Award - Criteria for this award was discussed.

Pictures for the website were also taken, with some being taken next week as well.

CHAIRS

Unfortunately Ishini of GA1 was forced to drop out due to time issues, and in her stead we appointed Danidhu Vithanawasam. 

We also decided what we would do for the final day of conference: 
GAs- crisis
Spec comms; - normal comm debates with a possible inter comm after lunch 

Study Guides final draft due by the 29th of October, and will be released soon after.

19th November - A few comm specific slides will be create for the fac advisor/ student coordinators meeting

NON - Chairs 

Shalini was also unfortunately forced to resign as Head of PR, with her Deputy taking over as Head.

During the meeting we just discussed a few issues with the placards and acquiring some of the materials we needed, the sponsorship letter and the letter to the schools.

Other:
T-shirt design confirmed.
The gavel for this year was designed.
The cover pages for the Study Guides were also designed.

COMUN Workshop

This week's COMUN workshop was a massive success with attendance being over 125 people, with attendance from all over Colombo with schools like CIS, BSC, TIS, Lycuem, Gateway etc. The meeting ran very smoothly with a brilliant introduction to COMUN from the Secretary General Sanoj Jayakody about changes we are set to implement, dictating the tone for the follow-up to this years phenomenal conference. Danindhu then came up and introduced the exciting theme for this year, explaining what we intend to convey by picking this "The Next Generation: Combatting Bellicose Rhetoric", a theme truly representative of our spruce and perspicacious 2017 EXCO. Viren and Senal then introduced the sequence of events with the introduction of the individual GA's and their explanation of their topics and what they're looking for in a delegate wanting to join, and why they should join. We then brought out all the chairs of the GA's for a Q&A session for any queries. T
